BRIEF
In 2025–2026 I designed the layouts and led creative direction for the first and second issues of G-Gate Media's magazine, published for the international G-Gate conference in Tbilisi two years running.
180+ pages per issue, cover concept through to press-ready files — editorial grid, typography, photo art direction, retouching and prepress.
Both issues landed with G-Gate staff, management and conference guests alike. The second was commissioned after the client tested five other designers and came back.
In short — everything is great. We got a superb first issue, and the second is even better. Easy communication, deadlines kept, and the last-minute reworks the printers demanded — a huge separate thank you for those.
I want to call out the very strong growth over the year. Last year I had to bring you almost-finished solutions; this year the proposals coming back were genuinely creative and beautiful — the bold spread with Danya was a hit with absolutely everyone.
This year we were worried about budget and wanted to go to other designers, but after five test pieces where we simply asked for the same as last year, we realised we had to run straight back to you. For the next issue we won't even think about it.
